Some great news from the girl’s SANFL medal counts heard earlier this week.
Another in our season of firsts, with Georgie Davis earlier this week being crowned the SANFL best and fairest player for the U12 girls competition. Taking out the medal with 25 votes out of a possible 33 votes. A remarkable effort given she missed a game throughout the season. The award is great acknowledgement of her exceptional year with the Sharks.
Further excitement to our four players who made the U12 SANFL team of the year with Holly Dini, Chloe Whitington-Charity and Marlie Fiegert joining Georgie Davis as the top players across the State in the U12 girls ranks. Again, huge credit to these girls on their year and a great start to grand final week.
All the best to the entire U12 squad with their fixture on Friday night as they take on SMOSH for the flag.
Lara Chehade was named in the U14 SANFL team of the year.
Kiana Lee finished 3rd overall in the U16 SANFL Best and Fairest Count and was also named in the U16 SANFL team of the year.
Georgie Davis was named the U12s SANFL medalist for 2017.
