Barnos smashes SMOSH (and face) in 150th celebrations

The Sharks were looking for a massive win to try to jump up to second spot and secure at least a neutral final next week against Athelstone and at half time were well on the way to doing just that. However, poor kicking in the third quarter ruined any chance of a 35 goal game that may have been enough to jump ahead of the Raggies.
It was great to see the young brigade lead the way, Pierso, Coxy and Sarai were all excellent contributors while Newy enjoyed a run in the midfield and Daysy booted 4 goals in a dominant performance. Barnesy had a day out on his 150th game booting 6, before hitting the booze (and the footpath – check out his eye) pretty hard back at the club. ‘Mud guts’ Ehrlich also booted 5 despite a bad case of the yips in the third quarter while Pierso chipped in with 4 of his own.
It will be an important game against the Raggies at Torrens Valley Oval next week, the winner going on to play Paralowie for a spot in the GF. Get along and support the C’s and D’s as they aim to turn around losses against Athelstone in round 10 and go into the GF play-off.
