Round 8: D Grades destruction of Angle Vale
Well it was another great win for the D Grade on the weekend again
demolishing a helpless opposition. With Sam " Bow Bow" Petherick in top
form this season he again showed his flair booting 6 majors. The
Captain Dave " D.J." Jolly was again sensational booting 4 and leading
his charges by example, but the standout on the ground was an under 18
call up Lee " Lethal" Costello kicking 5 from a wing and racking up no
less than 35 touches, he was dominant all over the ground displying
speed, skill and finesse and was all day in a class of his own. Other
standouts were Brad " Dean Cox" Dittmar with 2 goals and a new under 18
to step up to the senior ranks Daniel Goodfellow with 2 who showed he
is more then capable of asserting himself at senior level. The backline
was once again in full flight led by George" Furious" Charablidis and h
had great back up all day from the likes of Darrel " Daazeling"
Aldridge, Neil " Wacko Jacko" Fennel, David " DOS The Pres" O'sullivan
and Julias " Cess" Miller. All up it was a great team effort by all th
boys and we hope they can keep it up again in a few weeks time against
Smosh Westlakes at Henley. Best of luck boys and keep up the good
work...

The Sharks bought home the 2 points after a long journey out to Willaston to take on the Angle Vale Owls. With 6 players from last week’s big win against Paralowie out through injury and illness, the Sharks knew that this would not be an easy game against a team that has been improving every week.

After a slow start the C grade pulled together some great team footy to reclaim top position with a comprehensive win over Paralowie at Henley. The win puts the Sharks back into top position with 5 wins and 2 losses.
The Sharks will have a long journey to Willaston next weekend to take on an unknown Angle Park side who look to be improving each week. Only another fully committed team effort will guarantee full points.

The boys started well and got on top early in the middle, with the likes of the Bowdog, Rusty and Hainsy finding plenty of it. With two key forwards (Homer and Rains) the onballers had plenty of options when going into our forward 50.
A Grade Round 5
Gepps Cross 17. 8(110) def Henley 16.13(109)
Round 5 the A grade travelled up to Gepps Cross knowing that we would have to play at our best in order to continue our great start to the year, unfortunately this time we were on the wrong side of a close result and fell short by the narrowist of margins.

wind. However the game was back on level pegging at half time with the
Crabs booting 5 goals in the last 10 minutes of the quarter to go into
the long break trailing by only 7 points.
Round 5: Ds make meal of the Crabs!!

The
D’s made it 2 wins on the trot and pushed their way back into the top 3
with a massive win over the Crabs. DJ played beautifully at Centre Half
Forward booting six goals and handing a few more off to ‘Flipper’ Hardy
who finished with 10 in a dominant performance at full forward. The D’s
will return to the site of their Preliminary final loss last season to
take on a struggling Mitchell Park and will be looking to leap-frog
SHOC back into 2nd spot.
