Fair well, great work, & thankyou to our outgoing Chairman & President...

14th Nov, 2011
Angry faceA great era has come to a close with the departure of long serving Chairman Mark King and President David Dos O'Sullivan. Their 4 year journey has seen the Club rise to great heights and re-establish itself as one of the strongest and most consistent Clubs in the Division 1.

Their tireless ongoing work saw achievements such as a Division 1 Premiership, brand new oval flood lights & night games, a very much long term lease on the club premises, a possible future redevelopment, a shark for life program encouraging our junior to return to the Sharks after league success plus much much more.

Their committee leadership has allowed the footballers of Henley to play the game whilst being attended to with the utmost care and being provided the highest service to every need and duty each player has required.

On behalf of everyone at the club we thank you both for your terrific contributions as we are forever grateful as well as better for your dedication & commitment. Looking forward to your further support of the mighty sharks, A.W. Ralph

Big *Ross Frick* gets double life...

30th Oct, 2011
Past player Ross Frick, Life Member of Henley Football Club, who whilst living at Reynella travelled every week to Henley with wife Lorna to achieve the following...
# Played 183 games, Captain of D Grade in 1988
# Team Manager of C Grade under Coach Michael Hicks in 1989, 1990, 1991 & 1992.
(All whilst living most of this time at Reynella)

Ross with his wife Lorna were loyal club members during their time at Henley.

Since his own footballing days, their sons Ryan and Tyson have played for their local club Reynella. Ross joined as a volunteer over these 14 years, mainly as a Trainer and now Ross has recently been rewarded a Life Membership of the Reynella Football Club too.

The great man now has 2!!

Congratulations to Ross on his achievement of being Life Member of 2 Clubs in the same sport, a rare achievement but shows the character of the person to help when needed.

On behalf of the Henley Football Club Fraternity, well done big fella.

There are many available and maybe once a week could become a great hobby for someone?

Its quite easy to do and will provide training. You need a scanner that will convert to pdf.

Missing: 1973 A2 Premiership Score...

17th Oct, 2011
Missing from club records, newspapers and league records is the 1973 A2 Division Grand Final Score.
Henley defeated Flinders Park by 17 points at the Richmond Oval, but the actual final score is not known.

# Newspapers have no indication of the result due to a drawn semi final that pushed the Grand Final a weekend ahead. West Adelaide champ, Jeff Bray was coach.

# Were u a player? A Parent? A relative?
# Is the score possibly laying around your house?

Please let us know, regards, go sharks
